🌱Bappa in Clay – Eco-friendly Ganpati Making Competition(RASPEC)
As part of the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, we at the Rotaract Club of St. Peter’s Engineering College organized “Bappa in Clay – Eco-Friendly Ganpati Making Competition” on 26 August 2025 at our college premises.
The event invited students to craft Lord Ganesha idols using Natural Clay, encouraging creativity while promoting environmentally responsible festive practices. Participants, working individually or in small teams, enthusiastically shaped beautiful idols, blending tradition, art, and sustainability.
The atmosphere was filled with devotion and excitement as students showcased their talent and shared the message of eco-friendly celebrations. A panel of judges evaluated the idols on creativity, neatness, and adherence to eco-friendly principles, with attractive cash prizes awarded to the best creations.
Planned and executed entirely by our Rotaract members, the competition highlighted teamwork, planning, and organizational skills.
This financially successful event generated a substantial profit, which will be utilized to deliver better and more impactful service projects in the future, further strengthening our contribution to Community Economic Development.
Overall, Bappa in Clay was a perfect blend of cultural pride, environmental stewardship, and community impact, reinforcing our commitment to Rotary’s vision of creating lasting positive change in society.
