Echoes of Yesterday-Visit of Dobara Senior Well Being Centre

Spent an incredibly warm and meaningful day at the Dobara Senior Well-Being Centre, where our Rotaract team had the privilege of connecting with a wonderful community of seniors. What started as a simple initiative to share digital literacy and basic AI concepts quickly grew into something far more impactful.

As we sat with them, listening to their stories and witnessing their enthusiasm to learn, we were reminded of how powerful knowledge-sharing can be across generations. Their curiosity, resilience, and eagerness to embrace new skills created an atmosphere filled with positivity and genuine excitement.

We were deeply moved by the way they welcomed us—not just as visitors, but almost as extended family. Their warmth, humour, and openness turned every conversation into a moment to cherish. Many of them spoke about their personal journeys, offering insights that left us inspired and grateful for the wisdom only experience can bring.

Their excitement for the upcoming thrift mela added a small but joyful spark to our conversations.

Overall, the day was far more than an outreach activity—it was a heartfelt exchange that enriched every one of us. We left with fuller hearts, renewed appreciation for community, and a deeper understanding of the value of intergenerational connection.
