Skill Development Centre Inauguration

The Rotaract Club of St. Ann’s College for Women successfully organised the Inaugural Ceremony of the Skill Development Centre dedicated to the college’s auxiliary staff. This initiative reflects the club’s commitment to empowering and uplifting the support staff who play an essential role in the smooth functioning of the institution, while also aligning with the District 3150 theme, “Sustainability Yes”. By equipping staff with practical, income-generating skills, the project promotes long-term empowerment and sustainable development.

As part of this programme, six sewing machines were installed in the newly established centre. These machines were generously sponsored by the Rotary Club of Hyderabad Central, whose support has been instrumental in bringing this project to fruition. The centre aims to conduct regular training sessions in both basic and advanced tailoring, enabling the auxiliary staff to acquire valuable skills that can supplement their income and potentially lead to self-employment opportunities.

The inauguration marks the beginning of a long-term effort focused on skill-building, financial independence, and personal growth. With this centre, the Rotaract Club aims to create sustained impact by fostering confidence, enhancing capabilities, and promoting the dignity of labour. The event concluded with heartfelt gratitude to the Rotary Club of Hyderabad Central and all contributors who made this meaningful and sustainable initiative possible.
