Pink Picnic

On 25th October 2025, members of the Rotaract Club of Osmania Medical College actively participated in the Pink Picnic, an impactful awareness event organized by Kims Gachibowli in collaboration with Sanjeevani Foundation. This unique initiative combined the warmth of a picnic with the powerful purpose of spreading awareness about breast cancer, one of the most common and life-threatening cancers among women.

The event aimed to educate people in an engaging, friendly environment while highlighting the importance of early detection, regular screening, and timely medical intervention. Experts demonstrated newly developed breast cancer screening and diagnostic equipment, allowing participants to understand how modern technology plays a crucial role in detecting cancer at an early and more treatable stage. Along with this, interactive sessions were conducted to explain warning signs, risk factors, self-breast examination techniques, and the importance of medical consultation.

Rotaractors actively interacted with attendees, clarified doubts, and helped disseminate accurate information, thus bridging the gap between medical knowledge and the general public. The picnic setting created a relaxed and approachable atmosphere, making it easier for people to discuss sensitive topics like breast health without fear or hesitation. Overall, the event was both educational and inspiring, reinforcing the message that awareness and early action can save lives.
