Biodegradable Sanitary Pads Donation – Phase 2

The objective of Biodegradable Sanitary Pads Donation – Phase 2 was to continue addressing menstrual hygiene challenges among adolescent girls by ensuring sustained access to safe, hygienic, and eco-friendly sanitary products. The initiative aimed to normalize conversations around menstruation, reduce health risks caused by unhygienic practices, strengthen confidence among students, and promote environmentally responsible menstrual management while reinforcing dignity and awareness.

Execution

The project was carried out at Govt Girls High School, Musheerabad, after coordinating with school authorities to identify beneficiaries and ensure effective outreach. Rotaractors engaged students through open, respectful, and informative discussions on menstrual hygiene, addressing myths, usage practices, and disposal methods. Biodegradable sanitary pads sufficient for two months were distributed to 66 students, ensuring privacy, sensitivity, and systematic execution. The activity was designed as a continuation of the larger initiative, maintaining consistency in awareness, quality, and impact.

Impact

The project directly improved menstrual hygiene access for 66 students, reducing immediate health risks and discomfort associated with inadequate menstrual care. It strengthened awareness, confidence, and dignity among beneficiaries while reinforcing sustainable hygiene practices, thereby contributing to long-term health and educational continuity.
