The Rotaract Club of St. Ann’s successfully organized its flagship initiative, B.L.U.E – Beautify Lakes, Unite Everyone, a lake cleaning drive held on 17th August at Peeramcheru Lake, PEBL City. The drive was conducted with the vision of restoring the natural beauty of the lake and spreading awareness on the importance of protecting water bodies for a sustainable future.
This impactful activity was carried out in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Utkarsh and supported by Akshayakalpa Organic, whose contribution and encouragement added great value to the event. Volunteers from both clubs, along with enthusiastic students and community members, came together early in the morning with a shared goal of reviving the lake and reducing the waste and pollution affecting its ecosystem.
Participants actively collected plastic waste, bottles, and other debris, creating a visible difference in the cleanliness of the lake surroundings. The collaboration not only strengthened bonds between partner organizations but also emphasized the power of collective action in environmental conservation.
Through this initiative, the Rotaract Club of St. Ann’s reinforced its commitment to sustainable practices, community service, and youth-led environmental change, while inspiring others to take responsibility towards a cleaner and greener tomorrow.
