Intercollegiate Book Review Competition

The Rotaract Club of St. Ann’s participated in a Book Review Competition organized by the Rotaract Club of Villa Marie in collaboration with their Department of Library & Information Centre. The event provided a platform for students to showcase their love for reading and their analytical and public speaking skills. Participants were required to bring a physical copy of their favorite book—be it a novel, biography, or short story—and deliver an 8-minute review sharing the book’s essence, personal reflections, and key takeaways. The competition aimed to inspire fellow readers, encourage intellectual discussion, and foster confidence in expressing ideas.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from students across colleges, and Rotaractors from St. Ann’s made a notable impact. Rtr. Safiya Faliha from St. Ann’s delivered an outstanding review and was awarded the 2nd prize, reflecting her insightful analysis and engaging presentation. All participants received certificates of participation, with winners being recognized for their excellence and creativity.

Overall, the competition successfully celebrated literature, promoted critical thinking, and encouraged students to express their perspectives. The participation of St. Ann’s Rotaractors highlighted their commitment to education, learning, and community engagement, making it a proud and memorable achievement for the club.
