The Rotaract Club of Hyderabad Visionaries successfully conducted a Lake Clean-Up Drive on 16th November, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, at Kota Cheruvu, Kokapet Lake, as part of its commitment to environmental sustainability and community service.
The project was planned and executed by the International Services Avenue of the club and focused on clearing accumulated waste such as plastic bottles, wrappers, and other non-biodegradable materials from the lake surroundings, which have been increasingly affected by pollution due to human activity. A total of 16 Rotaractorsactively participated in the drive, demonstrating dedication and teamwork throughout the activity.
This initiative was further strengthened through an international collaboration with the Ente Litter Trail Project by the Rotaract Club of Dubai, reflecting a shared global responsibility toward environmental conservation and sustainable practices.
Impact of the Project:
Approximately 40 kg of waste was collected and properly segregated
The cleanliness and natural appeal of the lake area were significantly improved
Volunteers gained valuable awareness about waste management, environmental responsibility, and the importance of protecting water bodies
