As a continuation of our sustainability initiative, SWAT Phase 2 (Sustainable Waste Action Team) was successfully conducted by our club at Feroz Gandhi Park, near ENT Hospital, Koti. This was the second visit to the same park, reinforcing our commitment to long-term environmental responsibility rather than one-time actions.
During this phase, the team actively engaged in cleaning and restoration activities within the park premises. Volunteers swept the entire area, collected accumulated waste such as plastic wrappers, bottles, and dry litter, and ensured proper segregation and disposal of the collected waste. The initiative aimed not only at cleanliness but also at spreading awareness about the importance of maintaining public spaces responsibly 🌍✨.
By revisiting the same location, SWAT Phase 2 highlighted the importance of sustained action and follow-up in environmental projects. The activity promoted teamwork, civic sense, and accountability among volunteers while contributing positively to the local community. The park was left cleaner, safer, and more welcoming for the public, especially for children and elderly visitors 🌳😊.
Overall, SWAT Phase 2 was a meaningful step towards building environmentally conscious citizens and encouraging sustainable practices at the grassroots level.
