On 19th August 2025, our Rotaractors came together at Maredpally for a meaningful initiative titled “Seva with Swachhata,” organized to mark World Humanitarian Day. The event was dedicated to honoring the GHMC workers who selflessly dedicate their lives to keeping our surroundings clean.
In a symbolic gesture, our members took up the duties of the workers for the day. With brooms in hand, they cleaned the locality, giving the workers a well-deserved moment of rest and appreciation. This act was not only about maintaining cleanliness but also about recognizing the invaluable efforts of those who often go unnoticed in society.
To extend our gratitude, the workers were served tea to refresh them, followed by a warm breakfast that brought smiles to their faces. Sharing their workload and sharing a meal created a strong bond of compassion, respect, and solidarity.
Through this initiative, our Rotaractors experienced firsthand the challenges and dedication involved in maintaining hygiene across the city. The event beautifully reflected the spirit of service by combining action with empathy, reminding us that true humanitarian service is about humility, kindness, and standing beside those who make a difference every single day.
