The objective of SIGNATHON was to create awareness about hearing impairment and promote inclusivity for children with hearing disabilities. The initiative aimed to sensitize the community toward communication challenges faced by the hearing-impaired and encourage acceptance, empathy, and equal opportunities for children with special needs.
Execution
SIGNATHON was conducted on 19th November 2025 in collaboration with Ashray Akruti Foundation, with active participation from Rotaractors and members from other clubs. The event focused on awareness-building activities centered on sign language, interaction, and advocacy for the rights and inclusion of hearing-impaired children. Members supported the foundation’s efforts by participating in awareness drives and engaging with the cause to amplify its social impact.
Impact
The event significantly increased awareness about hearing disability and the importance of inclusive communication. It strengthened community sensitivity toward differently-abled children and reinforced the value of accessibility and inclusion in society.
