The Rotaract Club of Apollo organized an antimicrobial awareness initiative in collaboration with a team of established pharmacologists and microbiologists. As part of this effort, a series of educational posters were developed in Telugu, Hindi, and English to ensure accessibility across Hyderabad’s diverse patient population.
The posters were carefully designed to communicate the correct use of antibiotics, the dangers of misuse, and the importance of antimicrobial stewardship. By translating the material into the most commonly spoken local languages, the campaign aimed to maximize patient understanding and community impact.
These posters were displayed in a subsidized general hospital that primarily serves underprivileged populations. The goal was to empower patients with knowledge that would help them use antibiotics responsibly, thereby protecting not only their own health but also the wider community from the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance.
