On 1st February, the Rotaract Club of Apollo Medical College conducted an awareness seminar on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) during a medical camp. The session focused on common yet silent conditions like diabetes and hypertension, highlighting their rising prevalence in the community. The discussion aimed to sensitize people about early detection and timely intervention.
The seminar covered key aspects such as prevention, treatment, lifestyle modification, and missed dose management. Participants were guided on healthy eating, regular exercise, stress reduction, and the importance of medication adherence. The interactive session allowed attendees to ask questions and gain clarity on their health concerns.
Overall, the initiative reflected Rotaract’s commitment to preventive healthcare and community well-being. By spreading awareness and encouraging healthier habits, the club contributed to building a more informed and health-conscious society.
