EGGATHON 2026

EGGATHON 2026 was a flagship initiative by the Rotary & Rotaract Club of Secunderabad, aimed at promoting nutrition and community welfare through the distribution of eggs as a sustainable source of protein. Aligned with Republic Day celebrations, the event focused on “Double the Impact Double the Care” by donating a total of 10,000 eggs across 26 locations in Hyderabad. As a collaborating club, RACHH played a pivotal role in executing distributions at 4 key locations, contributing significantly to the overall success of the project. This report highlights RACHH’s involvement, activities, and outcomes.

Quantitative Impact: RACHH’s contribution helped achieve a portion of the 10,000-egg goal, with 47 trays reaching across 4 locations. This provided immediate nutritional support, equivalent to several weeks’ worth of protein for many recipients.
Qualitative Impact: The event strengthened inter-club bonds, inspired new volunteers, and raised awareness about the Rotary Egg Bank. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude, noting improved access to affordable nutrition. It also aligned with Rotary’s focus areas of disease prevention and maternal/child health.
Challenges and Learnings: Logistical coordination across multiple sites was managed smoothly, though traffic delays highlighted the need for better route planning in future events. More Photos https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1PlvJzVKk4-V8zzXf87uVW22kHgUrEYzf
