We, the Rotaract Club of St. Peter’s Engineering College, organized Her Hygiene Day on 3rd November 2025 at 10:00 AM in the slum areas near Diamond Point, Secunderabad, to support women who lack access to essential menstrual hygiene products. During the drive, over 55+ sanitary pads were distributed to women in the community. The initiative aimed to provide menstrual hygiene essentials, raise awareness about menstrual health, break social stigmas, and educate women on proper hygiene practices.
Our members personally interacted with women, explaining the importance of menstrual hygiene, addressing doubts, and ensuring that every woman received the resources she needed. By combining resource provision with education, the initiative empowered women, promoted dignity, and encouraged a healthier lifestyle. The activity also fostered discussions that challenge taboos surrounding menstruation, creating a supportive and informed community environment.
