The RRR β Respond, Rescue, Revive π initiative was successfully conducted on 24th January at IIT Hyderabad, with the aim of empowering students with essential basic life-saving skills π©Ί. This hands-on training program focused on preparing young adults to respond effectively during medical emergencies and potentially save lives β€οΈ.
Approximately 800 students from IIT Hyderabad π©βππ¨βπ actively participated in the program, which was systematically divided into three interactive stations for better understanding and skill development.
Station 1 βοΈπ₯ covered medical emergencies such as hypothermia, heat stroke, electric shock, burns, and poisoning.
Station 2 π©Ήπ¦΄ focused on trauma and injury management, including wound care, fracture management, application of splints and slings, and management of dog bite and snake bite.
Station 3 π¨β€οΈ addressed critical emergencies like epistaxis, vertigo, seizures, choking, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Each station included live demonstrations and hands-on practice π€, ensuring active participation and effective learning. The students showed great enthusiasm throughout the sessions and expressed their appreciation for the practical and engaging approach π. The trainers also found the experience rewarding, knowing that the participants are now better prepared to respond confidently in emergencies.
