Menstrual Kit Distribution Drive

The Rotaract Club of St. Ann’s College for Women conducted an enriching and awareness-driven Menstrual Hygiene Session at Peace Angels High School. The initiative was specially designed for young girls from Classes 6 to 9, aiming to equip them with accurate knowledge about the menstrual cycle, bodily changes, and healthy hygiene practices that are essential during menstruation.

The session covered key topics such as understanding the phases of the menstrual cycle, the importance of maintaining cleanliness, proper usage and disposal of sanitary products, balanced nutrition during periods, and clearing common myths associated with menstruation. The Rotaract team ensured that the session was interactive, comfortable, and student-friendly, allowing the girls to ask questions freely and break the stigma around the subject.

To encourage participation and make learning more engaging, a fun quiz was organised at the end of the session. The winners were rewarded with 40 Menstrual Hygiene Kits, thoughtfully curated to support their personal hygiene needs.

This session served as a meaningful step towards empowering young girls with confidence, awareness, and the right information—ensuring they feel safe, supported, and well-prepared as they navigate this important phase of growing up.
